Edith Kateme Kasajja
Board Chair

Edith is a Consultant on Climate Change, Former Deputy Executive Director of National Planning Authority (NPA) where She supported the Executive Director in the development and implementation of the Authority’s strategic plans, policies and provides leadership and direction to the administration and technical staff. She holds a MSc. Agriculture Economics, BA in Economics and Rural Economy. She has over 20 years of experience.

Mr. Paul Isabirye
Member

Paul is the former Director – station networks and observations at the Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) where he served as the member on the Administration and Human Resource Committee. He holds MSc. Climate Change and Disaster Management from Busitema University, MSc. Agriculture Extension/Education Makerere University, BSc. Forestry and he has over 19 years’ experience.

Dr. Monica Kagorora Kansiime

Dr. Kansiime is an Agricultural Economist who holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics, MSc, Agricultural Economics and BSc Hons Agriculture. She is currently the Agriculture Economist CABI Africa, Kenya and has over 16 years of work experience.

BIRUNGI MARIA KAREN

Karen is a Client relationship supervisor with Centenary Bank. She currently oversees the management of 55 districts and the growth of the public sector portfolio in the bank.  She holds a Masters in Public Administration and Management, Bachelors of Arts in Education from Makerere University and she has over 10 years of experience.

Prof. John B. Kaddu

Professor John Kaddu, BSc, MSc, PhD, is the board chair of the Climate Change Adaptation Innovation (CHAI). Professor Kaddu is an accomplished researcher, author, veteran climate change negotiator, climate change adaptation expert and university professor. He was the director of the Protozoology Section and Trypanosome Cryobank at the then East African Trypanosomiasis Research Organization (EATRO) of the East African Community in Tororo, Uganda (1972 – 1977), and also at the Kenya Trypanosomiasis Research Institute of the Kenya Government at Muguga Kenya (1977 – 1979), of which he is a Co-founder. He was second in command of the Medical Vectors Research Programme  of the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) in Nairobi Kenya (1979 – 1990), then Head of the Department of Zoology for a three-year-term of his 26-year  service (1991 -2016) at Makerere University, Kampala Uganda.

Isaac Kabongo

Isaac holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Sciences and Master’s Degree in Social Sector Planning and Management (MASSPM) majoring in Social & Environmental Policy Analysis from Makerere University Kampala (Uganda). Isaac also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI). Isaac did several certificate courses at different levels in different fields such as climate change, renewable energy, extractives and natural resources governance among others.

 

Isaac is an experienced Social Scientist / Environmental Policy Specialist with over 20 years of working experience. He is currently the Executive Director of Ecological Christian Organization
