Ecological Christian Organisation (ECO) works in environmentally sensitive and climate-vulnerable regions of Uganda, where communities depend directly on natural resources for their livelihoods.
Our work focuses on areas affected by climate change, ecosystem degradation, extractive activities, and weak natural resource governance, with an emphasis on community led solutions.
ECO currently operates in the Karamoja sub-region, the Albertine Rift in Western Uganda, and the West Nile region. Across these areas, we implement programs on climate and ecological justice, nature based solutions, inclusive governance, and ecological innovations.
In addition to field-based work, ECO engages at national and international levels, contributing to climate policy dialogue and global climate processes to ensure community voices inform decision-making.
