Project Objectives
Long term commitment by key stakeholders in Uganda to pursue the implementation of “100% RE for all”-Strategy is secured and closely linked with Agenda 2030. A well-functioning Multi-Actor-Partnership (MAP) platform pursuing the strategies to achieve 100% RE and sustainable development is established and operating after 12 months.
Summary of Achievements/impact
A functional MAP platform was established, engaging stakeholders from government, civil society, private sector, development partners, and academia; policy roadmaps and technical scenarios for 100% RE were developed and disseminated; a communication strategy was developed, and three media campaigns promoted the MAP platform via TV, social media, and national renewable energy conferences; capacity-building trainings were conducted on NDC implementation, RE technology standards, and resource mobilization international exchanges were organized, including events at COP 26, COP 27, and an international conference in Nepal an two bankable project proposals were developed and one was submitted to WWF Uganda Country Office.
