Ecological Christian Organisation (ECO) is an indigenous Ugandan NGO advancing sustainable development through nature based solutions, social enterprises, and inclusive environmental governance. Since 2005, we have partnered with communities to protect biodiversity and transform livelihoods.
We restore degraded forests and ecosystems, conserve biodiversity, and promote nature based solutions that strengthen climate resilience and safeguard vital natural resources.
We work with farmers, fisherfolk, pastoralists, refugees, women, and youth to build sustainable livelihoods rooted in local knowledge, dignity, and social justice.
We promote inclusive governance, accountability, and evidence based policies that protect environmental rights and ensure fair access to land and natural resources.
Ecological Christian Organisation (ECO) is an indigenous Ugandan non governmental organisation working to advance sustainable livelihoods, ecological justice, and inclusive development for marginalized and vulnerable communities.
Founded in 2005, we believe that people and nature are deeply interconnected. Our work is rooted in community leadership, indigenous knowledge, and social justice, recognizing local communities as the primary custodians of land, water, and biodiversity.
We design and deliver community led solutions that protect nature, strengthen livelihoods, and advance climate and ecological justice across Uganda.
