About the Project Ecological Christian Organisation (ECO) in partnership World Wide Fund for Nature Uganda Country Office (WWF-UCO) with funding from the Germany Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is implementing a ‘Multi Actor Partnerships (MAPs) for Implementing National Determined Contributions(NDCs) with 100% Renewable Energy (RE) for All in the Global South’ project. The project brings together key stakeholders into a MAP to drive Renewable Energy deployment, including identification of action areas that will be feed into the 100% Renewable Energy pathways in Uganda, Nepal and Vietnam. The project follows the 2015, parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meeting of parties’ landmark agreement to combat climate change and adapt to its impacts, with enhanced support to assist developing countries. Parties to the Paris Agreement have submitted Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) putting forward their ambitions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change. In order to achieve the Paris Agreement’s objectives, GHG emissions need to reach net zero latest by 2050. Therefore, a complete decarbonisation and shift to 100% Renewable Energy (RE) sources across all sectors is needed. ECO therefore, desires to hire a Project Manager who will lead, administer and organise all project activities in cooperation with and under the leadership of the Programs Director. The Project Manager will be responsible for the management, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project activities in Uganda. The position will require the successful candidate 100% time allocation for successful project implementation and management.
