The project follows the 2015, parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meeting of parties’ landmark agreement to combat climate change and adapt to its impacts, with enhanced support to assist developing countries. Parties to the Paris Agreement have submitted Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) putting forward their ambitions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change.
